The primary principle that governs those ideas of following an alkaline program is quite clear-cut and is situated on the philosophy that: "The internal chemistry of our body is largely altered depending on the kind of food that we eat".

In simple word, the pH value of our body radically changes depending on the kind of food that we consume and determines whether the internal system is acidic or alkaline. One thing you need to understand is that whenever your body requires energy, it begins to burn down food.

The whole process of breaking down foods into small molecules which occurs inside the cells in a stable internal environment.

Once the food is broken down into its elementary compounds and the energy (fuel) is assimilated, it leaves behind residue referred to as "Ash". It is this “ash" that determine whether the food you eat is acidic, alkaline, and neutral. As a result, these ashes are the causative factors of changes in the level of pH in our body.

The key thing here is that if your body is exposed to a large quantity of acidic 'ash', it gradually begins to become more compromised to diseases as your immune system weakens.

On the other hand, when your body experiences a high level of alkalinity in the blood, an additional layer of defense starts to develop what appears to optimize our health in a positive manner.

Types of ashes:

* Acidic- Food items such as eggs, grains, fish, poultry, meat, alcohol, dairy are classified as acidic

* Neutral: Foods such as fats, starches, and sugars are considered to be neutral.

* Alkaline: Foods that includes nuts, fruits, vegetables, and legumes are said to be alkaline.

The fundamental aim of the alkaline diet is to stimulate you into feeding your gut with food that is more alkaline to slightly increase the pH and create a more alkaline internal environment.

It is generally believed by health experts that our pH balance is exceptionally essential, in fact, some hold extreme view that it is a matter of life and death.

Some health experts believe that our pH balance is extremely important, others say it is essential, there are a few who clearly state that it is a matter of life and death. Those who do not consider alkaline/acidity balance as essential to wellbeing are quacks that are peddling a pharmaceutical drug for each illness, a pill for every disorder. It is basically ignorance as the majority of the people are too acidic, thus showing individuals how to return to a slightly alkaline state is a vital ingredient in healing.

What is pH?

pH means the power of hydrogen, a measurement of the hydrogen ion concentration in the body. The total pH scale ranges from 1 to 14, with 7 recognized as neutral. A pH of less than 7 is said to be acidic and solutions with a pH above than 7 are alkaline or basic. The ideal body pH is slightly alkaline within the range of 7.30 to 7.45. You can test your levels of pH from time to time by using a piece of litmus paper in your urine or saliva first thing in the morning prior to eating or drinking anything.

It is an established fact that with appropriate pH balance to health and healing through proper nutrition, bodies and minds of individuals will certainly recover from all sorts of degenerative diseases which earlier has appeared incurable. Addressing the acidic system is so fundamental to bringing the body back to vitality because it is the key to balancing all other systems.


A. Digestive System

Majority of digestive disorders like gastric reflux, nausea, indigestion, bloating are symptoms caused by too much acid in the gastric region and insufficient alkaline minerals in the intestinal tract. If the alkaline minerals from enzyme-rich foods are not available then the pancreas will become weaker and once the pancreas is weakened, it loses the capacity to detect the food and instruct the body what it is supposed to do with. B. Circulatory System

D. Respiratory System

F. Integumentary System (Skin)

When the pH of the body is not balanced then there is an accumulation of acid that leads to inflammation and the ability of the skin to act as a natural barrier against infection become compromise. As such, the skin begins to develop lesions and sores open to the body surface, and the occurrence of skin eruptions such as rashes or pimples.

G. Nervous System

The nervous system is weakened because acidity deprives it of energy; a condition known as ‘devitalizing’ or ‘enervation’. It leads to complete physical, mental, and emotional exhaustion of the body.

H. Excretory System (Urinary system)

The excretory systems consist of several organs; the major one is the kidneys. The kidney is a delicate organ responsible for filtering and purifying the blood. If the body is overburdened by too much acid, compensatory mechanisms gear up for action, one of them is the removal of alkaline minerals from your bones and drop them in the blood. If this happens on a constant basis, the minerals build up in the kidneys in the form of agonizing kidney stones.

I. Muscular System

When the amount of acidity in the muscle cells, increases, it upsets the metabolic breakdown of glucose and oxygen to energy.
